I listen to all kinds of music. I prefer alternative over the rest. Music is soothing for me. You can always find a song to match your mood or a song to make you feel better when you are down. When I was in high school, the music you listened too defined who you were. I struggled to figure out what or who I wanted to be but I always enjoyed everything so I never really fit into one group. I choose my music depending on my mood. So when I am down, I tend to listen to sad slow songs. When I am happy I like to listen to pop and hip hop. And when I’m feeling nostalgic, I listen to country or old hits from the 90’s.

Not what we expected

My husband and I are renting a house. This is our first time doing so, we’ve owned a home and rented an apartment and this is a little different. The house itself is not bad. It needs some work but since we don’t own it, we aren’t going to put too much effort into it. What we love about the house is the layout. There is a great addition over the garage which has a wet bar and powder room. This has become the living room for us. The original living room is a little small and it is more like a foyer now. The bedrooms are good sized but the kitchen is small. I have to have a cabinet in the dining room to store my cookware. We are disappointed though due to the condition of the home when we moved in. The yard was crazy. There were still fallen trees from the winter storms, the grass was high, and there is a lot of poison ivy in the back yard. The second week we were in the home, the tub stopped draining. We also have learned that there is no power to the outlet for the dryer and the owner will not pay for the repair so we are stuck going to the laundromat until we can get it repaired.

Friendship

A good friend is our nearest relation. Yes friendship is something which can never be forgotten or given up. True friends are the ones who believe in you when you stopped believing yourself. A friend is the one who stands by me to the end of my life. It is with a friend that you are most free and share your utmost interpersonal ties than to anyone in this world. Having a good friend is like having all that you needed in life. Good friendship enhances an individual’s sense of happiness and overall well being.

Eat ‘N Park definitely has smiles!

Last week I took my son to Eat ‘N Park for lunch. We had a fantastic time. Our waitress was very friendly and very sweet to my son. We decided to order something different from what we normally order. I had the chicken portobello hoagie with the salad bar and my son decided on the grilled cheese sandwich. The hoagie was fabulous. There was a vinaigrette type sauce on the hoagie as well as the mayo which just added a great flavor. The salad bar was great as always. I loved the selections but was a little disappointed that cottage cheese was not available. My son had the grilled cheese which had the perfect amount of cheese and cooked to perfection. All in all it was a great trip to one of our favorite restaurants.

If at all I retired from my service and didn’t have to work again, I would stay at home take care of my loving children. It is interesting to take care of children. Even though I have people to work for me, yet I will supervise them and see that their duties are performed to my satisfaction. I will also spend some time going to visit the sick, the lonely and involve myself in social welfare activities. By doing so, I will get to know the needs of the poor and reach out a helping hand to them both physically and financially.

There could be nothing in this world that could compensate for parents. I have a lot of fond memories about my parents, but the most unforgettable one is the day when I grew up as young girl. The help, comfort and guidance I received from them was simply supernatural. The way they greeted me was great. They bought a lot of gifts and gave the best food for me to eat. They were more like a friend to me than parents. I received the best advise and guidance from my parents which has developed me to be a good citizen in this world.
