My husband and I are renting a house. This is our first time doing so, we’ve owned a home and rented an apartment and this is a little different. The house itself is not bad. It needs some work but since we don’t own it, we aren’t going to put too much effort into it. What we love about the house is the layout. There is a great addition over the garage which has a wet bar and powder room. This has become the living room for us. The original living room is a little small and it is more like a foyer now. The bedrooms are good sized but the kitchen is small. I have to have a cabinet in the dining room to store my cookware. We are disappointed though due to the condition of the home when we moved in. The yard was crazy. There were still fallen trees from the winter storms, the grass was high, and there is a lot of poison ivy in the back yard. The second week we were in the home, the tub stopped draining. We also have learned that there is no power to the outlet for the dryer and the owner will not pay for the repair so we are stuck going to the laundromat until we can get it repaired.
