A number of threats are often made with intentions to have unauthorized access to important files, programs, to corrupt the operating system and the useful information stored therein. An unprotected PC is vulnerable to the attacks of viruses, worms, malware, etc. These signs often become recognizable when a system crashes. If the antivirus is ineffective, viruses or malware could rename and destroy its database. Antivirus software is thus required to keep the malware and other threats at bay from affecting the computers. In the past decade, there has been so much concern for protecting computers from external attacks; such attacks need to be potent enough to destroy viruses as much as foam fire extinguishers can quell any raging fire.
